For each horse coming from abroad the following documents must be provided:
HORSE DOCUMENTS
I. An equine passport with up-to-date vaccinations, FLU-Te within the last 12 months mandatory, EHV within the last 6 months recommended.
II. A certificate of good health for the horse.
III. A confirmation of entry to the competition (the competition secretary sends it for each horse).
IV.a. An ATA Carnet, issued and approved by the Chamber of Commerce of your country. Before the trip the Carnet must be opened by the customs of your region. We strongly recommend this solution, as it will allow you to do the customs formalities 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, provided that you use the main roads and stop at the major customs on the Highways.
Contacts by country for ATA carnets
OR
IV.b. A temporary import and export (Free pass), using a customs forwarder. We advise against this solution as it is much more restrictive, you will only be able to go through Customs during opening hours, i.e., Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 17:00. You will have to provide the following documents at the latest two days before departure:
• A diagram for each horse,
• the plate number of the car, trailer or truck,
• the address and telephone number of the riders.
FEES
The deposit will be paid by the freight forwarder, but you will remain responsible for it if the exit formalities are not done correctly.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
In conclusion:
• Prefer the ATA carnet to the Free pass.
• Do not forget your registration confirmation.
• Travel directly to the competition venue.
Please send to the show management
your frontier crossing point.
